Donate a Coat to Help Everyone Stay Warm this Winter

By: Rich Hosford

Help make sure everyone can stay warm this winter.

Anton’s Cleaners is holding its 21st Annual Coats for Kids coat drive now through January 8, 2016. Despite the name, coats can be donated for both children and adults.

“The 21st annual Coats for Kids winter coat drive aims to ensure anyone who needs a coat will have one,” the cleaner’s website states. “Each fall, Anton’s Cleaners collects, cleans and distributes nearly 60,000 winter coats for kids, babies, and adults. More than 250 schools, over 300 companies, clubs and organizations and thousands of individuals donate new and good quality coats and over 90 social service agencies make sure the coats get to those in need free of charge.”

All donated coats will be cleaned by Anton’s Cleaners and will then be distributed through the Coats for Kids Distribution Partners network, which includes organizations such as Massachusetts Community Action Programs (MASSCAP), Salvation Army, Middlesex Human Service Agency, BU Medical Center Outreach Van Project, Wish Project, Community Giving Tree, Mental Health Association of Greater Lowell, Strafford County Community Action, Catholic Charities, among others.

You can donate the coats at any Anton’s Cleaners location, including the one in Burlington at 47 Winn Street. Click here for more information
