The Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington endeavour follows the success of the seafood restaurant's Kenmore Square location. Their license was one of three voted for by Town Meeting two years ago specifically for The District location.

The Boston store earned ‘Best Seafood’ from Boston magazine and The Improper Bostonian upon its maiden voyage in 2010 and again in 2012 and 2013.  Island Creek Oyster Bar also boasts being named one the ‘50 Best Bars in America’ by Food & Wine in 2011 and a host of other accolades including bing named one of Boston’s ‘Best Eats’ by the Travel Channel.

Set to open later this year the Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington location is a part their effort to celebrate New England’s seafood community in a collaboration with farmers, chefs and diners. New York based Bentel & Bentel will conceptualize the the design for The District location creating a sophisticated setting based on Duxbury Bay. The District is currently being redeveloped into a 13 building, walkable, urban-style destination with an array of amenities. Island Creek will be located in the currently under construction building between Tavern In The Square and the new hotel, also under construction.
