Rep. Moulton Holding Lottery for Tickets to Pope Francis Visit

Would you like to be there when Pope Francis visits Washington D.C.?

On Thursday September 24, Francis will become the first leader of the Holy See to address a joint meeting of Congress during his trip to Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia.

Massachusetts’ 6th District Congressman Seth Moulton posted on his website that he has a limited number of tickets to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, where Pope Francis’ speech will be broadcast on several large video screens. He said he is doing a lottery system to give constituents a chance to attend the event.

“For residents of the Sixth District, this is a unique opportunity to be part of an historic event,” he said.

Residents of the Sixth District who wish to enter should fill out the form posted here no later than August 31.

Winners will be notified after the drawing on September 1. Winners will receive no more than four tickets each. Tickets are not for resale. Travel and accommodations will be at the winners’ expense.

For more information, call his office at 202-225-8020.
