Winds Strong Enough to Down Tree Limbs Expected Tuesday Morning

By: Rich Hosford

It looks like it could be windy on Tuesday, with gusts possibly downing tree limbs.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory that will remain in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The advisory applies to much of Massachusetts, including Middlesex County.

According to the NWS the wind will come from the west at speeds between 15 to 25 miles per hour. There could also be gusts as high as 45 mph. The strongest winds are expected through noon.

The gusts could be strong enough to down small trees limbs and branches and possibly cause isolated power outages, the advisory states. Driving may also be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
