Burlington Seeking Part Time Social Worker

Burlington is looking for a qualified person to fill a spot as a part time social worker for Burlington Youth & Family Services (BYFS). 

BYFS is a town department responsible for providing mental health and social services to families with adolescents and young adults.It also provides information and referral services for all residents regardless of age. 

According to the job post, the new hire will be working under the direction of the Executive Director, and will provide family, individual, couple and group therapy for community adolescents and their families; conduct intake assessments; provide crisis intervention and information referral services; write reports; supervise graduate interns; interface with Town and community agencies; as well as other related tasks. 

Licensed Masters Level Clinician, as well as 5 years of experience in adolescent family, individual, couple and group therapy is required of the successful candidate. Training in Systemic Family Therapy and in substance abuse treatment, a plus. Experience with supervision of group work also a plus. 

The position is part time (25 hours each week) with a flexible schedule available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Starting hourly rate is $27.32. This position begins at Step I of Grade 10 and is included within the Administrative & Professional Compensation Plan.
