Financial Aid Info event For BHS Seniors Looking at College

By: Rich Hosford

College is important and, as every knows, expensive.

Burlington High School is holding an informational event for seniors looking to start college this fall. The program is open to all seniors and their parents. Specifically the information will be on FAFSA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The event is on Sunday, January 25 at 1 p.m. at the school. The Burlington High School Guidance Department highly recommends all seniors looking at college attend the program.

The event is a non-profit volunteer-driven effort across the state designed for high school seniors and their parents, a blog on BHS Principal Mark Sullivan says.

Participants will receive free assistance completing the free application for student aid, have access to experienced financial aid administrators and FAFSA experts who can answer questions and get guidance on the financial aid process and the steps after filing for FAFSA.

Parents must register ahead of the program. For more information and links to the registration form, visit Principal Sullivan's blog here.
