Heavy Rains and Strong Winds May Cause Limb Damage and Power Outages

By: Rich Hosford

It looks like we could get some heavy rain and strong winds that might make a bit of a mess Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area and much of eastern Massachusetts that will last from Wednesday evening into Thursday.  According to the agency there is a chance that strong southerly winds could down small tree limbs and cause power outages.

The forecast also says we can expect rain Wednesday night with a chance of thunderstorms after 3 am. The wind could reach 16 to 18 miles per hour with gusts as high as 33 miles per hour.

There is also a warm front moving in. Temperatures could rise to 63 degrees by 5 a.m. and Thursday might get a high of 73 after the clouds pass.
