Historical Society Hosting Author Rob Costa for Look at Burlington "Then and Now" in Photos


The Burlington Historical Society is inviting the public to come see a talk given by one of the men who literally wrote the history book on Burlington. 


On Thursday, March 3rd the society will be joined by Burlington native and former BHS history teacher Rob Costa who will be giving a talk on the history of the town and showing slides from different time periods. 


Costa is the author of a new book, “Burlington Through Time,” published in 2014. He is also the author of the 2001 Arcadia publication Images of America, Burlington


“He has some great shots of various old houses in town,” a release from the society states. “He would like to make a presentation featuring ‘then and now’ images of Burlington's rich historical past and threatened present/future based on this book.”


The meeting will be held at the Kelly-Murray wing of the Human Services Building at 61 Center Street on Thursday, March 3rd. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., the meeting begins at 7:00, refreshments served after the meeting.  The Burlington Historical Society always welcomes new members.
