Latest Library News: Dads & Donuts, Quidditch, Preschool Fun and Games

The following is a release from the Burlington Public Library:

The Last Thursday Book Discussion Group – Thursday, March 16 7-8:30 pm

The library's Thursday Evening Book Discussion Group will gather in Fogelberg A on the first floor to discuss Main Street by Sinclair Lewis. Carol Milford, a young, liberated and educated woman, moves from the city to tiny Gopher Prairie after marrying the local doctor.  She tries to bring culture to the small village, but is met with greed, gossip and pettiness.  Main Street, a social satire, was published in 1920 and is one of Sinclair Lewis's most significant works.  Discussion will be led by Gwen Borden. Copies of the book are available at the front desk.
