Latest Library News: Summer Reading Finale, Lego Club, Pumpernickel Puppet Show

The following is a release from the Burlington Public Library:

Summer at the Library has been extremely busy!  During the months of June and July, 25,873 people entered the library.

Some came for the wonderful line-up of programs and events for children and teens. The comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and the quiet study rooms attracted others.  Many came to use the computers, access the free wireless internet, or to print or fax papers. Still others came to read the newspapers or magazines. Assistance with questions or to learn about our e-products and our new catalog drew others in.  Of course, the books, and other materials to borrow enticed many.  Almost 22,000 items were borrowed from the library in June and July!

Adult Summer Reading – Although Summer is passing quickly, there is still one more month to participate in the Adult Summer Reading program.  The July winner has just been drawn – Congratulations, Gabriella Gonzalez! We know that you will enjoy the Travel Goodies, courtesy of AAA New England Burlington Office, $25 gas gift certificate and New England Road Trip Travel Guide, courtesy of the Friends of the Burlington Public Library.

Continue reading and sharing with us to be entered to win the August prize.  The Artist's Imagination Kit, with drawing pads, doodle books, colored pencils and much more is sure to be enjoyed by the lucky winner.
