By: Rich Hosford

The Burlington Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying two women suspected of credit card fraud at a Burlington fast-food restaurant.

According to the police information site MassMostWanted.org, the women pictured here allegedly came to the Burlington McDonalds on June 18 and made off with $2,000 in gift cards that were purchased illegally.

The report states the women requested 40 gift cards valued at $50 each. They said the cards were to be used in a charitable event and they used an American Express card for payment. As police looked into the matter, American Express confirmed the transaction was fraudulent.

One of the women showed an employee a North Carolina driver’s license for identification. The suspects entered a black Lincoln with a New York license plate. Part of the plate read "MKZ."

Both women are described as having medium builds, medium complexions and of being average height.

If you have any information about the identity of the suspects, the police ask you call Detective Gary Burdick at (781) 272-1212.
