Police Warn Residents to Lock Vehicles After Numerous Car Break-Ins Reported

Police are advising residents to keep their cars door locked and to take any valuables inside the house after numerous reports of car break-ins that occurred Wednesday night.

 

Officer Vito Costa said the break-ins happened in the Francis Wyman Road and Virginia Road neighborhood. He said the department had heard reports of four break-ins, which while not a huge rash, should be taken as a warning to others to secure their vehicles.

 

Items stolen included loose change and some personal property. In one instance a laptop was taken.

 

Officer Costa advised residents to secure their vehicles.


I always tell people is to keep your cards doors locked,” he said. “If you want something absolutely secured bring it in the house and lock it in a safe, that’s always the best bet.”
