Raffle Featuring Local Businesses to Support Students Competing in Competition

Burlington High School is holding a raffle to support three students who will be traveling to Orlando, Florida later this month to compete in a national competition. 

 

As reported on BNEWS, twenty-two students from Burlington High School competed at MA DECA's State competition in March. 

 

Two BHS Seniors, Dan Pais and Dillon Owens, worked as a team and their overall performance on the three challenges earned them a 2nd in the state for the highest combined score in the Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making Event. They were also awarded medals for achieving 2nd place in both role plays. Individual competitor, BHS Junior Timmy Sullivan, earned 4th place in the state in Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series. He also received a 2nd place medal for one of his Role Plays, the blog states. 

 

The three will be attending DECA's International Competition in Orlando this April, which is attended by over 15,000 students from all over the US and various countries.

 

To help fund the trip, Burlington DECA is holding a raffle that is supported with donation by Burlington businesses. 

 

The drawing will be held April 15th.

 

There are two categories for the raffle. 

 

The first category is $1 per ticket or 8 tickets for $5. The prizes are: 


- $25 Cheesecake card (2 prizes will be given to 2 different winners)
- $25 Tavern in the Square gift card
- $60 Lush Gift Box
 -$55 value Elizabeth Grady Signature Facial

 

The second raffle raffle is $5 per ticket or 5 for $15 or 10 tickets for $20. The prizes are: 


- $100 Capital Grille
- $80 Lush gift box
- $200 value silver and pearl Long’s Necklace
- $120 value Vera Bradley Midnight Paisley Bags
