Rain/Snow Mix Followed by Snow Expected Tuesday Afternoon into Night

By: Rich Hosford

It looks like we may get some snow Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting the Burlington area could start seeing snowfall after 4 p.m. on Tuesday with a total daytime accumulation of about half an inch. This precipitation may be a mix of rain and snow as the temperature is expected to be around 36 degrees and could impact the evening commute.

We might then get an additional one to two inches Tuesday night, the NWS states.

It looks like Wednesday will be clear but won’t have conditions for melting the snow. The NWS is calling for temperatures around 28 degrees. It will also be windy with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour.
