Simon Announces Additional Businesses for Burlington Mall Renovation Project

By: Rich Hosford

There is a lot going on at the Burlington Mall and we now know a few more specifics about which shops are slated for the ongoing redevelopment project.

Simon, owner of the Burlington Mall, announced that The Village at Burlington Mall (former Sears Auto Center) will welcome the next round of personal services, retail and restaurants in the coming months as part of Burlington Mall’s redevelopment of the property. Shoppers will also notice the reopening of the entrance located on Mall Road which will provide access to both the mall and The Village while showcasing improved landscape features and sidewalk connectivity between the two properties.

Last month it was announced that Caffe Nero will be one of the businesses opening in The Village at Burlington Mall. Now Simon has announced that uBreakiFix, Modern Acupuncture and Gyu-Kaku will be part of the project. uBreakiFix specializes in repair services for cell phones, computers, laptops and small electronic products. Modern Acupuncture treats pain, injuries and a variety of other ailments through pain management techniques. Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese BBQ restaurant that offers an authentic Japanese yakiniku (grilled barbecue) dining experience where guests share premium cooked meats over a flaming charcoal grill.

“This next wave of retail, dining and personal services coming to The Village at Burlington Mall really reinforces our position as the premier shopping destination north of Boston,” said Justin Feldhouse, General Manager of the Burlington Mall. “We are thrilled to elevate our guests experience by enhancing our offerings as well as the new additions and aesthetic elements throughout The Village which will make each visit even more enjoyable.”

Two other restaurants, Shake Shack and Cava Mezze Grill, have not been officially announced by Simon but have filed paperwork with the town to be part of the renovation project.

In other parts of the mall, a Starbucks kiosk has been approved inside of Macy’s and the Asian Fusion restaurant Karma will locate in part of the former Pizzeria Uno’s location.

Finally, Feldhouse recently sat down for an interview for BNEWS In Depth on the renovation project. You can watch that interview here.
