Snow Expected Sunday Night Into Monday Morning

By: Rich Hosford

Looks like we could be starting spring with a bit of winter weather.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Massachusetts, including Middlesex County, which extends from 10 p.m. on Sunday until 11 a.m. on Monday.

The advisory states that in that time we could receive between three and five inches of wet snow. More specifically the snow will likely spread across the region on Sunday evening and the heaviest snowfall will happen shortly after midnight and continue into the early morning hours. The snow will taper off mid-morning on Monday.

The NWS states the snow could impact the morning commute on Monday morning by creating slick driving conditions and reduced visibility.
