By: Rich Hosford

A tractor trailer truck driver was arrested for a third time on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after his truck found its way on top of a car this week.

The Mass State Police say that at about 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, troopers from the Concord Barracks received reports of a tractor-trailer unit which had rolled backwards into the front of a 2011 Mercedes Benz while waiting in traffic on Route 95 South by the Route 3 North on-ramp in the town of Burlington.

According to state police, Trooper David Salvucci responded and observed the tractor-trailer and Mercedes Benz stopped in the breakdown lane of Route 3 North in the area of exit 26. Following a subsequent investigation, Trooper Salvucci arrested the operator of the tractor-trailer, Jody Harmon, 46, of Winchendon, for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol (3rd Offense).

Harmon was transported to the Concord State Police Barracks for booking and is to be arraigned Thursday in Woburn District Court.

The operator of the Mercedes was uninjured in the crash.
