The Master Plan will be a document that establishes the overall vision for the town and the policies by which future growth and development will be guided. This report will be utilized by the Planning Department and Board as a basis for decision-making about land use planning and redevelopment for the Town of Burlington.

The Burlington Comprehensive Master Plan process will roll out in three beginning with Phase 1: Community Character and Land Use.

Phase II will follow closely encompassing Economic Development, Natural and Cultural Resources, Housing and Transportation.

Phase III, Implementation and Strategies Plan, the most important piece, will tie everything together and chart the course for action.

As a member of the steering committee you would act as a liaison to your elected board and commission, assist in neighborhood outreach and guide policy decisions.
