Winter Storm Warning Issued Ahead of Potential Snowfall During Friday Morning Commute

By: Rich Hosford

It looks like we may get some snow just in time for the morning commute on Friday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning in effect from 1 a.m. on Friday and ending at 3 p.m. The warning covers much of eastern Massachusetts, including the Burlington area.

According to the NWS the precipitation will begin as rain late Thursday and change over to snow early Friday morning. Heavy snow is expected during the storm and in total we could get upwards of four to eight inches.

The snow could cause hazardous traveling conditions, especially during the Friday morning commute.
