Tuesdays & Thursdays July 11th – August 24th

2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

For students entering 9th Grade through 12th Grade

BCAT will be conducting a FREE summer program for high school students, with the goal to produce a short narrative film. The BCAT Summer Film School will be overseen by Production Coordinators Chris Flaherty and Tad Stephanak.

All participants will have the oppurtunity to “pitch” an idea for the program’s short film. “Pitches” will be voted on by the group, with the winning “pitch” becoming the project produced. The project will go through all phases of film production: writing, story-boarding, location scouting, casting and crew positions, filming, editing, and special effects.

BCAT Summer Film School is designed to be a fun, educational, experience for students to learn about the BCAT facilities and the basics of video production. The end product will have a premiere screening event and be broadcasted on BCAT and BCAT’s Youtube Channel.

The program will take place at the BCAT Studios at 123 Cambridge Street, Burlington MA 01803 (Entrance is located in the back of Burlington High School)
