OBSERVANCE
8:00 a.m. Flag raising on Town Common:
• Raising TWO U.S. flags: first the Star Spangled Banner flag as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of its creation followed immediately after by the current American Flag.
• Wreath placement for Korean Veterans on this the 60th Anniversary of the End of the Korean War
• Acknowledgment of the 50th Anniversary of the death of John F. Kennedy, WWII veteran
• Acknowledging medics, nurses and women veterans
10:00 a.m. Memorial Day Ceremony at Chestnut Hill:
• Recognizing POW/MIA’s and medics
• Music Burlington High School Band and bag piper Joe McGrath
• John Middleton-Cox will sing Empty Chairs at Empty Tables
• The speaker will be a medic.
